Capacity assessment completed for a regional health network

24 July 2026 Capacity Building

Nexarion has completed a twelve-week organisational capacity assessment for a regional health network operating across several districts. The work covered governance, financial management, human resources, information systems and frontline service delivery.

The assessment combined document review, structured interviews at head office and facility level, and a self-assessment workshop with the leadership team. Scoring against a common framework allowed the network to see where capability was genuinely thin and where it was simply undocumented — a distinction that matters, because the two problems have very different remedies.

What came out of it

  • A capability baseline the board can track year on year
  • Nine priority actions sequenced over three years, each with an owner and an indicative cost
  • A revised delegation framework clarifying decisions held at the centre and at facility level

The strengthening plan has been adopted by the network’s board and now forms the basis of its annual work planning.
